DATAGRO’s first estimate for Brazilian exports of the soy complex in 2023 points to volume and value increases in comparison with 2022. Total external output is initially projected at 115 million tons, up 17% from the previous forecast. That would be 95 million tons of grains of soy (21.0%); 18.5 million tons of soybean meal (+1.3%); and 1.5 million tons of soybean oil (-1.3%). Initial revenue figures indicate US$ 62.885 billion, which would represent an increase of 9.5% over the current year, distributed as follows: US$ 52.250 billion of soybeans (+13.8%); US$ 8.325 from soybean meal sales (-7.9%); and US$ 2,310 billion from the sale of soybean oil (-5.9%).
