In Goiás, corn production is expected to increase by 29.2% and reach 12.5 million tons in the 2022–2023 season crop. The amount equates to more than 10% of Brazil’s total grain production, making the state Brazil’s third-largest producer. The data was taken from the April edition of ‘Agro em Dados’, a technical bulletin published monthly by the Goiás Department of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supplies (Seapa). In comparison to the results of the previous season, the production of sunflowers in Goiás is expected to increase by 65.1% in the 22/23 season. With a volume of 36 thousand tons, Goiás will once again be the country’s top sunflower producer.
