BRAZILIAN ETHANOL EXPORTS TOTALED 223.92 MILLION LITERS IN MARCH, UP 15%

Brazilian ethanol exports surged in March compared to 2023, reaching 223.92 million liters, marking a 15% increase. Prices declined, averaging at US$558.94 per cubic meter, down by 20.5% from the previous year. Monthly revenue totaled US$125.16 million, an 8.6% decrease annually. Notably, South Korea, the United States, and India were the primary importers. In the first quarter, ethanol sales reached 631.58 million liters, up by 10.5%, but revenue dropped by 13.7% to US$354.36 million due to a 21.9% price decrease. Detailed data was released by the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce, and Services (MDIC) on March 4th.
