ANHYDROUS ETHANOL SALES UP IN NOVEMBER

According to data released by the Sugarcane Industry Union (Unica) on Thursday (24), the first half of November was marked by a greater ethanol output at mills. The production units in the Center-South sold 1.14 billion liters of ethanol, an increase of 18.17% when compared to the same period of the 2021/22 harvest. The year-to-date result in the domestic market was 10.22 billion liters of hydrous ethanol (-2.52%), and 6.78 billion liters of anhydrous ethanol (+6.02%). Since the beginning of the 2022/23 cycle, the production units have sold 18.54 billion liters of ethanol, which represents an increase of 3.49% when compared to the same period of the previous cycle. Of this volume, hydrous ethanol sales totaled 10.79 billion liters (-3.13%); while anhydrous ethanol sales reached 7.75 billion liters (+14.39%).
