ANEC RAISES CORN EXPORT FORECAST FROM BRAZIL IN JUNE TO 1.06 MILLION TONS

Brazil’s corn exports in June were estimated this Tuesday, 25th, at 1.06 million tons, according to data from the National Association of Cereal Exporters (Anec). The volume would be around 170 thousand tons below the same month in 2023. Last week, the shipment forecast for the month was 1.02 million tons. According to the general director of Anec, Sérgio Mendes, Brazil’s exports in 2024 are expected to “be well below 2023, a record year for soybeans and corn”. He did not detail volumes. According to the association, the estimate is calculated based on the ship schedule and shipments made.
