SUAPE’S NEW TERMINAL SET TO BOOST PERNAMBUCO’S INTERNATIONAL TRADE BY 40%

The new container terminal in the Port of Suape, Pernambuco, will help the local economy become more globally integrated, according to Silvio Costa Filho, Minister of Ports and Airports. During the cornerstone-laying ceremony for APM Terminals Suape, the minister said that the number of imports and exports could increase by over 40%. The terminal will increase container handling capacity by 55% with an investment of BRL 1.6 billion, marking an important turning point for the state’s economic growth.
