The three Portos RS (Rio Grande, Pelotas, and Porto Alegre) units processed 36.87 million tons from January to October, confirming the post-flood recovery. The Port of Rio Grande topped the charts with 35.3 million tons, boosted by a surge in wood chips (+12.21%), polyethylene (+9.06%), and cellulose (+7.29%). In June, activity peaked as the number of handled containers increased by 26.27% to 652,655 TEUs, the highest monthly total. Imports mostly came from Russia, Argentina, and China, while exports were destined for Iran, Vietnam, and China. Led by wood logs (839,361 tons), the cargo handling in Pelotas totaled 982,645 tons. Of the 592,446 tons that passed through Porto Alegre, the most notable were fertilizers (271,473 tons), followed by wheat and barley.
