São Martinho updated its 2024/25 season guidance, highlighting changes due to adverse conditions like August 2024 fires and low rainfall. Sugarcane crushing is forecasted at 22.2 million tons, down 1% from previous estimates. Total recoverable sugar content (ATR) rose to 142.7 kg per ton, a 1.3% increase. The production mix shifted to ethanol, reducing sugar output to 1.32 million tons (-15.2%) and raising ethanol production to 1.05 billion liters (+16.7%). Corn ethanol production will increase to 210.2 million liters (+5.1%). Total investments are projected at R$2.8 billion, with R$1.95 billion for maintenance, R$100 million for operational improvements, and R$670 million for modernization and expansion, including new irrigation, a biomethane plant, and improved harvesters. An additional R$80 million will address fire damage impacts.
