Crude oil topped the agenda as Petrobras overtook mining and farming as Brazil’s top export in the third quarter of 2024. The company exported oil, standing out in domestic production, representing almost 90% of the supply. A profit of BRL 32.6 billion, up 22.3% from the previous year, and BRL 17.1 billion in dividends to shareholders were announced by President Magda Chambriard. With the help of the FPSO Sepetiba, which peaked in production in less than eight months, total operating production reached 3.49 million barrels of oil equivalent per day. Petrobras also praised the FPSOs Maria Quitéria and Marechal Duque de Caxias for their successful debt reduction and operational outcomes.
