According to figures from the National Ministry of Petroleum, Natural Gas, and Biofuels (ANP), oil output in Brazil increased by 5.9% in January compared to the previous month and hit a record 3.255 million barrels per day (bpd). The amount eclipsed the previous monthly record achieved in October when Brazil generated an average of 3.244 million bpd. Also, the outcome shows a 7.35% increase from January 2022. The amount of natural gas produced in the nation over the course of the past month, meanwhile, came to an average of 142.785 million cubic meters per day (m3/d), an increase of 1.89% from December and 3.89% from a year earlier. This is the highest amount since the record of 148.75 million m3/d set in October.
