The fourth projection for the grain harvest in Sao Paulo in 2022–2023 is kept at 10.03 million tons, which represents a 2.5% increase over the results of the previous cycle. This cycle’s expected grain plantings cover 2.5 million hectares, an increase of 0.8%. A rise in productivity of 1.7%, or 4,012 kg/ha, is also expected. The state’s development of soybean production over grazing lands and the replacement of sugarcane farming continue to be its key favorable features. The expected harvest volume is 4.5 million tons, which is 7.6% more than in 2021–2022. Oilseed plantings are expected to cover 1.27 million hectares (+4.6%), yielding 3,536 kg/ha (+2.9%).
