According to shipping agency Williams Brasil, the number of ships waiting to load sugar in Brazilian ports decreased from 86 to 80 during the week ending November 5. These vessels are scheduled to export 3.059 million tons, primarily from the Port of Santos, which accounts for 1.87 million tons. Brazil’s sugar exports for October reached 4.2 million tons, generating USD 1.669 billion in revenue at an average price of USD 396.90 per ton. Despite a 12.7% year-over-year increase in volume, revenue fell by 5.8% due to a 16.5% drop in the average price. Most of the sugar exported was VHP type, amounting to 2.78 million tons.
