FERTILIZER DELIVERIES GROW 9% IN 2025

Brazil’s fertilizer market is set to continue growing in 2025, supported by strong agricultural demand, according to StoneX. Data from the National Association for Fertilizer Diffusion (Anda) shows 30.5 million tons were delivered from January to August 2025, up 9% from the same period in 2024, with August marking the year’s peak at 5.2 million tons. Imports of NPK raw materials also rose 4.6% year-over-year to 37.8 million tons between January and October. Despite high costs and global uncertainty, StoneX notes that Brazil remains a major fertilizer consumer. The consultancy highlights a shift toward less concentrated fertilizers like ammonium sulfate and single superphosphate, which increases total import volumes. Overall, fertilizer consumption in 2025 may reach record levels.
